The Container Store, Organization At It's Best!

I'm giddy with excitement! The Container Store  is finally coming to my area this fall! It's an organization junkies fix! I can't wait to spend money I don't have on many different organization wonders that will make my life easier and make me feel less panicky! My dream is to have a place for everything and for everything to be in their place. Homemade Spoon Ring

I had lost the spoon ring I've had for years. I wanted another one and asked my husband to make one for me. I looked through the kitchen drawer, found the spoon I wanted and told my husband "good luck". He went out to the garage, and in about half an hour, came back with this spoon ring:       

He said it was really easy to make your own spoon ring, and while I now wish I had taken pictures to show you step by step, he said it's really easy and there's only 4 steps:

Choose which spoon you want to wear.

Cut off the "spoon" part with sharp snips.

Sand the edge you cut and around the corners to round them a little bit.

Place the spoon on a rod, or a broom handle or whatever you have and with a rubber mallet, hammer it around until you get the shape you want.

That's it.

I just found this little book I bought years ago called Money Spells. I'm thinking, it can't hurt. So I'm off to Salem sometime this week to buy some candles and crystals. Because we all know you can't do spells without candles and crystals. And..we all know the best place to get stuff for spells is in Salem, MA.

Is it summer already?

Today two people told me that their pools will be ready for swimming by the end of the week. Others are pulling out their air conditioners. Here I am thinking it's barely spring and that everyone has gone mad... and then I realize that we're almost halfway through June. When did that happen?
